The second benefit associated with virtualization is reduction in hardware requirements by a ratio of up to 10:1. This is a very high ratio and the benefits of efficiency that will result from the reduction of hardware will be very beneficial to the particular business (Costas, 2006). Another benefit associated with virtualization software is the fact that capital and operations expenses are cut into half.
